I use Woolite Oxy Deep to clean up after my rabbit (who occasionally likes to 'mark his territory') and other typical household spills, like juice. I have off-white carpet, and the Woolite Oxy Deep really helps get the stains out (especially if used right away)! In fact, the areas of the carpet I used it on are whiter than the carpet around it, so I think it's time for a whole-room carpet-cleaning. I hope there is a version of this for carpet steamers!
Also, a friend borrowed it to get out a stain that no other products he tried would get out. It was a pet stain on a short tight-weave carpet, and he liked the Oxy Deep so much, he said he'd definitely buy his own bottle to use the next time so he wouldn't mess up the carpet pile trying to scrub it clean like he had to with the other products!
I didn't buy it on Amazon. There's a larger-size bottle sold at my local big-box store for a better price.
I give it 5 stars since it does what it's supposed to do, doesn't smell bad, and works better than similar products I've tried. -- Works like a charm
We've had this in our house for the past several years and it works great. The key is speed--getting to the stain as fast as possible. Dont expect miracles-youre not going to be able to remove that year old, ground in stain. Remove/soak up as much of the cause as possible without pushing it further into the carpet, then spray a liberal amount in/around the area. Wait a few minutes and scrub out with a towel (best to use a sturdy bath towel instead of paper towel), scrubbing in numerous directions. Repeat if necessary. Not sure about darker stains like the one reviewer mentioned, but works great on pet and lighter-colored stains. -- great product-speed is the key
As a mother with 3 young children, 1 dog, and 9 wool rugs.....I consider myself a bit of a rug stain cleaning expert. I purchased this to see if it would take out the freshly created fluorescent orange (Juicy Juice) stain from our oriental rug. It did not remove the stain. I then tested it just days later on an fresh ink stain and it removed about 1/2 of the ink. A bright pink stain (again, probably Juicy Juice) that was from years ago did not come out (I had to give it a TRY!!). The one stain that it performed nicely on was a yellowed area from my dog....it had been cleaned but was still stained. The yellowing is now gone! Bottom line, there are some stains that this will not work on, even though the package says it works for ink, juice, etc. etc. -- Cleans some stains but not others!
